श्रीशुक उवाच एवमामन्त्र्य भगवान्भवानीं विश्वभावन: । तद् विषं जग्धुमारेभे प्रभावज्ञान्वमोदत ॥ ४१ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca evam āmantrya bhagavān bhavānīṁ viśva-bhāvanaḥ tad viṣaṁ jagdhum ārebhe prabhāva-jñānvamodata
श्रीशुकदेव गोस्वामी बोले—इस प्रकार भवानी से निवेदन करके विश्वभावन भगवान् शंकर उस विष को पीने लगे। और भगवान् शिव की सामर्थ्य को भली-भाँति जानने वाली भवानी ने उन्हें इसकी अनुमति दे दी।
