अष्ट जाता भूता प्रथमजर्तस्याष्टेन्द्रर्त्विजो दैव्या ये। अष्टयोनिरदितिरष्टपुत्राष्टमीं रात्रिमभि हव्यमेति

IAST Transliteration

aṣṭá jātā́ bhūtā́ prathamajártasyāṣṭéndrartvíjo daivyā́ yé | aṣṭáyonir áditiḥ aṣṭáputrāṣṭamī́ṃ rā́trim abhí havyám eti ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Eight beings are born of the first begetting; eight are Indra’s divine officiants who (serve). Eight-wombed is Aditi, eight-soned: unto the eighth Night she comes, toward the oblation.

Translation

आठ प्राणी प्रथम जनन से उत्पन्न हुए; आठ इन्द्र के दिव्य ऋत्विज् (याजक) हैं जो सेवा करते हैं। आठ-योनि अदिति है, आठ-पुत्रा; वह अष्टमी रात्रि की ओर, हवि (आहुति) की ओर आती है।
