Sukta 141
लोहितेन स्वधितिना मिथुनं कर्णयोः कृधि । अकर्तामश्विना लक्ष्म तदस्तु प्रजया बहु
lóhitena svádhitinā mithunáṃ kárṇayoh kr̥dhí | ákartām aśvínā lákṣma tád astu prajáyā bahú ||
With the red-hued axe make thou a paired mark upon the ears. Let the Aśvins fashion the sign: so be it—abundant in progeny.
लाल-वर्ण कुल्हाड़ी (स्वधिति) से दोनों कानों पर युग्म-चिह्न बना। अश्विनौ उस लक्ष्म-चिह्न को गढ़ें; वह (चिह्न) ऐसा हो कि संतान-समृद्धि बहुत हो।
