Sukta 30
अयं लोकः प्रियतमो देवानामपराजितः । यस्मै त्वमिह मृत्यवे दिष्टः पुरुष जज्ञिषे। स च त्वानु ह्वयामसि मा पुरा जरसो मृथाः
ayáṃ lokáḥ priyátamo devā́nām ápa-rājitaḥ | yásmai tvám ihá mṛtyáve diṣṭáḥ púruṣa jajñiṣé | sá ca tvā́nu hvayāmasi mā́ purā́ járaso mṛthāḥ
This world is dearest to the Gods, unconquered. For whom thou wast here appointed unto Death, O man, thou wast born: and him we call thee back from; die not before old age.
यह लोक देवों को सबसे प्रिय है, अजेय है। जिसके लिए तू यहाँ मृत्यु के लिए नियुक्त किया गया, हे पुरुष, उसी के लिए तू जन्मा। और हम तुझे उससे वापस बुलाते हैं—बुढ़ापे से पहले मत मर।
