स्तुहीन्द्रं व्यश्ववदनूर्मिं वाजिनं यमम्। अर्यो गयं मंहमानं वि दाशुषे
stuhī́ndraṃ vyáśvavad anū́rmim vājínaṃ yámam | aryó gáyaṃ máṃhamānaṃ ví dā́śuṣe
Praise Indra, rich in steeds, of surging force, the prize-winning controller; the noble one, bounteous, who dealeth out goodly substance unto the giver.
हे व्यश्ववन्, इन्द्र की स्तुति करो—अश्वसम्पन्न, उर्मि-वेग से युक्त, वाजिन (विजयी) और यम (नियन्ता) को; उस आर्य (श्रेष्ठ) को, जो गय (सम्पत्ति/गृह-समृद्धि) को बढ़ाने वाला, उदार है, और दाता को उत्तम द्रव्य बाँटता है।
