वृकश्चिदस्य वारण उरामथिरा वयुनेषु भूषति । सेमं नः स्तोमं जुजुषाण आ गहीन्द्र प्र चित्रया धिया

IAST Transliteration

vṛ́kaś cid asya vāraṇá urā́mathirā́ vayúneṣu bhūṣati | sémáṃ naḥ stómaṃ jujuṣāṇá ā́ gahī́ndra prá citráyā dhiyā́

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Even the wolf of him is a repeller; the strong-stirrers shine in their devices. Accepting this our hymn of praise, come hither, O Indra, with brilliant thought.

Translation

उसका भेड़िया भी (शत्रुओं को) रोकने वाला है; बलवान् प्रेरक अपने-अपने उपायों/युक्तियों में दीप्त होते हैं। हमारे इस स्तोम (स्तुति-हवन-गीत) को स्वीकार करते हुए यहाँ आओ, हे इन्द्र—चित्र (उज्ज्वल) धिया (बुद्धि/प्रेरणा) के साथ।
