Sukta 47
माश्वानां भद्रे तस्करो मा नृणां यातुधान्यः । परमेभिः पथिभिः स्तेनो धावतु तस्करः । परेण दत्वती रज्जुः परेणाघायुरर्षतु
mā́śvānāṃ bhadré taskáro mā́ nṛṇā́ṃ yā́tudhānyàḥ | paramébhiḥ pathíbhiḥ stenó dhā́vatu taskáraḥ | paréṇa datvatī́ rajjúḥ paréṇāghāyúr arṣatu
Let not, O gracious Night, the thief come near our horses; let not the yātudhāna come near our men. By the farthest paths let the robber, the thief, run forth. Beyond, let the biting rope be; beyond, let the evil-liver pass away.
हे भद्रे रात्रि! हमारे घोड़ों के पास चोर न आए; हमारे पुरुषों के पास यातुधानी (यातुधान) न आए। परम दूर के पथों से डाकू—चोर—भाग जाए। उस पार दाँतों-सी काटने वाली रस्सी रहे; उस पार दुष्ट-आयु (अघायु) बहकर दूर चला जाए।
