आपः। शं त आपो हैमवतीः शमु ते सन्तूत्स्याः । शं ते सनिष्यदा आपः शमु ते सन्तु वर्ष्याः
ā́paḥ | śáṃ te ā́po haimavatī́ḥ śám u te santu utsyā́ḥ | śáṃ te saniṣyádā ā́paḥ śám u te santu varṣyā́ḥ
Waters—be welfare unto thee: welfare be to thee from the snow-born waters; welfare, yea, be thine from the springing waters. Welfare be to thee from the standing waters; welfare, yea, be thine from the rain-born waters.
आपः (जल)—तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। हिमवती (हिम-उद्भव) जलों से तुम्हें शांति-कल्याण मिले; उत्स्या (उत्स/स्रोत से निकलने वाले) जलों से भी तुम्हें शांति-कल्याण मिले। सनिṣ्यदा (ठहरे हुए) जलों से तुम्हें शांति-कल्याण मिले; वर्ष्या (वर्षा-उद्भव) जलों से भी तुम्हें शांति-कल्याण मिले।
