Sukta 8
तस्येदं वर्चस्तेजः प्राणमायुर्नि वेष्टयामीदमेनमधराञ्चं पादयामि
tásyedáṁ varcás téjaḥ prāṇám ā́yur ní veṣṭayāmi ídam enam adharā́ñcam pādayāmi
His splendour—his fiery force, his breath, his life—I herewith wrap fast about; this man I make downward-turned, I press him down beneath.
इसका वर्चस्—इसका तेज, प्राण और जीवन—इन्हें मैं यहाँ दृढ़ता से लपेटकर बाँधता हूँ; इस मनुष्य को मैं अधोमुख करके नीचे दबा देता हूँ।
