Sukta 8
तस्येदं वर्चस्तेजः प्राणमायुर्नि वेष्टयामीदमेनमधराञ्चं पादयामि
tásya idáṃ várcas téjaḥ prāṇám ā́yur ní veṣṭayāmi idám enam adharā́ñcam pādayāmi
His—this—lustre, his fiery might, his breath, his life I wrap down and close about; this man I make downward-going, I thrust him low.
इसके—इस पुरुष के—वर्चस्, तेज, प्राण और आयु को मैं नीचे की ओर लपेटकर कस देता हूँ; इस मनुष्य को मैं अधोगामी करता हूँ, इसे नीचे धकेल देता हूँ।
