Sukta 7
ऋचः सामानि च्छन्दांसि पुराणं यजुषा सह। उच्छिष्टाज्जज्ञिरे सर्वे दिवि देवा दिविश्रितः
ṛ́caḥ sāmā́ni chándāṃsi purāṇáṃ yájuṣā sahá | ucchíṣṭāj jajñire sárve diví devā́ diviśritáḥ
The Ṛcs, the Sāmans, the metres, the ancient lore, together with the Yajus—all were born from Ucchiṣṭa: the Gods in heaven, heaven-established.
ऋचाएँ, सामगान, छन्द, पुराण-विद्या—और यजुस् के सहित—ये सब उच्छिष्ट से उत्पन्न हुए; दिवि-स्थित, स्वर्ग में प्रतिष्ठित देवगण भी।
