तुभ्यमारण्याः पशवो मृगा वने हिता हंसाः सुपर्णाः शकुना वयांसि । तव यक्षं पशुपते अप्स्व१न्तस्तुभ्यं क्षरन्ति दिव्या आपो वृधे
túbhyam araṇyā́ḥ paśávo mṛgā́ váne hitā́ haṃsā́ḥ supárṇāḥ śakunā́ vayā́ṃsi | táva yákṣaṃ paśupate apsv àntás túbhyaṃ kṣáranti divyā́ ā́po vṛ́dhe
To thee belong the forest’s beasts, the wild game set in the wood; the geese, the fair-winged, the birds, the fliers. Thy wondrous power, O Lord of beasts, within the waters—unto thee the heavenly Waters flow, for thine increase.
हे पशुपते! वन के पशु, वन में स्थित मृग; हंस, सुपर्ण, शकुन, उड़ने वाले पक्षी—ये सब तेरे ही हैं। हे पशुपते! जलों के भीतर स्थित तेरा यक्ष (अद्भुत सामर्थ्य) — तेरी वृद्धि के लिए दिव्य आपः (स्वर्गीय जलधाराएँ) तेरी ओर बहती हैं।
