Wide is this thy treasury, wealth-containing, wherein are lodged within all these worlds. Be gracious unto us, O Lord of creatures; homage be to thee. Far hence—away—let the howlers go, the assailants, the dogs; away depart the evil-yelpers, the loose-haired.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition attributes the Rudra-śānti complex to Atharvan/Angiras lineages (hymn-level attribution varies by anukramaṇī).
Devata: Rudra (Paśupati), with apotropaic expulsion of inauspicious beings/portents
Chandas: Mixed; predominantly Triṣṭubh/Jagatī-like cadence in this section (edition-dependent metrical analysis).
