Sukta 8
tiryágbilaś camasá ūrdhvábudhnás tásmin yáśo níhitaṃ viśvárūpam | tád āsata ŕ̥ṣayaḥ saptá sā́kaṃ yé asyá gopā́ maháto babhūvúḥ ||
A cup with sideward opening, with bottom set aloft: therein is glory laid away, of universal form. There sat the Seven Seers together, who became the guardians of this Great One.
Rishi: Skambha-speculative tradition (variable attribution in hymn indices)
Devata: Skambha / Viśvarūpa (the universal-formed principle); also Saptarṣi as subsidiary figures
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like (mixed/irregular within the sukta)
