एकचक्रं वर्तत एकनेमि सहस्राक्षरं प्र पुरो नि पश्चा । अर्धेन विश्वं भुवनं जजान यदस्यार्धं क्व१तद् बभूव
ékacakraṃ vartata ékanemi sahásrākṣaraṃ prá púro ní paścā́ | ardhéna víśvaṃ bhúvanaṃ jajā́na yád asyā́rdhaṃ kvà tád babhūva
One-wheeled it turns, one-rimmed, of a thousand syllables, moving forward—moving after. With half it generated all the world of being: where, then, was the other half of it become?
एक-चक्र वाला (रथ/चक्र) घूमता है, एक ही नेमि (परिधि) वाला; सहस्र-अक्षर (हज़ार अक्षरों/ध्वनियों) से युक्त—कभी आगे, कभी पीछे चलता हुआ। अपने आधे भाग से उसने समस्त भुवन-विश्व को उत्पन्न किया; तो उसका दूसरा आधा भाग फिर कहाँ हो गया?
