ये भिर्वात इषितः प्रवाति ये ददन्ते पञ्च दिशः सध्रीचीः । य आहुतिमत्यमन्यन्त देवा अपां नेतारः कतमे त आसन्

IAST Transliteration

yé bhír vā́ta iṣitáḥ pravā́ti yé dádante páñca díśaḥ sadhṛ́cīḥ | yá āhútiṃ átyamanyanta devā́ apā́ṃ netā́raḥ katamé tá āsan ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

By whom impelled blows forth the Wind; who set in order the five directions, knit together; who—leaders of the Waters—whom the Gods accounted the oblation’s highest worth: which were they?

किसके प्रेरित करने से वायु बहती है? किसने पाँच दिशाओं को, परस्पर जुड़ी हुई, क्रम में स्थापित किया? और वे कौन थे—अपां नेतार (जल के नेता)—जिन्हें देवों ने आहुति के परम मूल्य के रूप में माना?
