Sukta 8
ऊर्ध्वं भरन्तमुदकं कुम्भेनेवोदहार्यऽम्। पश्यन्ति सर्वे चक्षुषा न सर्वे मनसा विदुः
ūrdhvám bhárantam udakáṃ kumbhéneva udahā́ryam | páśyanti sárve cákṣuṣā ná sárve mánasā vidúḥ ||
As water that is drawn aloft, as though with a pitcher, so is it borne upward: all men behold it with the eye, yet not all discern it with the mind.
जैसे घड़े से मानो जल को ऊपर खींचकर निकाला जाता है, वैसे ही यह ऊपर वहन किया जाता है। सब लोग इसे आँखों से देखते हैं, पर सब मन से इसे नहीं जानते।
