यदुदरं वरुणस्यानुप्राविशथा वशे । ततस्त्वा ब्रह्मोदह्वयत् स हि नेत्रमवेत् तव

IAST Transliteration

yád udáraṃ váruṇasyā́nu-prā́viśathā vaśe | tátas tvā bráhmódā́hvayat sá hí netrám avét táva ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

When thou, O Vaśā, didst enter after and within the belly of Varuṇa, then did the Brahman invoke thee forth; for he, in truth, knew thy guiding rein.

Translation

हे वशा, जब तू वरुण के उदर में—उसके वश में—भीतर प्रवेश कर गई, तब ब्रह्मन् ने तुझे बाहर बुलाया; क्योंकि वही वास्तव में तेरी नेत्र-लगाम (मार्गदर्शक रज्जु) को जानता था।
