सुवर्णं पूर्वं निकष्य पश्चाद्वर्णिकां निकषयेत् ॥ कZ_०२.१३.१७ ॥

Transliteration

suvarṇaṃ pūrvaṃ nikaṣya paścād varṇikāṃ nikaṣayet

Translation

पहले सोने को कसौटी पर रगड़ें; उसके बाद तुलना के लिए उसी पर रंग-मानक (वर्णिका) को रगड़ें।
