Varaha Purana 40.7 — Adhyaya 40, Shloka 7

Ritual Procedure for the Kūrma Dvādaśī Observance

श्वो ब्राह्मणान् भोज्य सदक्षिणांश्च यथाशक्त्या प्रीणयेद् देवदेवम् । नारायणं कूर्मरूपेण पश्चाद् तथा स्वयं भुञ्जीत सभृत्यवर्गः ॥ ४०.७ ॥

śvo brāhmaṇān bhojya sadakṣiṇāṁś ca yathāśaktyā prīṇayed devadevam | nārāyaṇaṁ kūrmarūpeṇa paścād tathā svayaṁ bhuñjīta sabhṛtyavargaḥ || 40.7 ||

બીજા દિવસે બ્રાહ્મણોને ભોજન કરાવી અને પોતાની શક્તિ મુજબ દક્ષિણા આપી દેવોના દેવને પ્રસન્ન કરવો. ત્યારબાદ કૂર્મરૂપ નારાયણનું ધ્યાન કરીને પોતે સેવક-પરિવાર સાથે ભોજન કરવું.
