puronmattapuretyeva tatra devo maheśvaraḥ tatrāsti tapaso rāśiḥ pitā mama ṛtadhvajaḥ

Translation

“આ સ્થાનનું નામ જ પુરોન્મત્તપુર છે. ત્યાં દેવ મહેશ્વર (શિવ) સન્નિહિત છે. ત્યાં તપસ્યાનો મહાન સંગ્રહ—મારા પિતા ઋતધ્વજ—વિદ્યમાન છે।”
