यथा शिवमयो विष्णुरेवं विष्णुमयः शिवः । यथान्तरं न पश्यामि तथा मे स्वस्तिरायुषि ॥९॥

Padapatha (Word Split)

यथा । शिव-मयः । विष्णुः । एवम् । विष्णु-मयः । शिवः । यथा । अन्तरम् । न । पश्यामि । तथा । मे । स्वस्तिः । आयुषि ।

IAST Transliteration

yathā śivamayo viṣṇur evaṁ viṣṇumayaḥ śivaḥ | yathāntaraṁ na paśyāmi tathā me svastir āyuṣi ||9||

Translation

જેમ વિષ્ણુ શિવમય છે, તેમ શિવ પણ વિષ્ણુમય છે. હું એમની વચ્ચે કોઈ ભેદ નથી જોતો; તેથી મારા આયુષ્યમાં કલ્યાણ રહે॥૯॥

Academic Translation

Just as Viṣṇu is pervaded by Śiva, so Śiva is pervaded by Viṣṇu. Since I do not see any difference (between them), so may there be well-being for me in (my) lifespan.

• Abheda (non-difference) and ekatva-darśana; auspiciousness (svasti) arising from non-dual vision
• Mahavakya: Echoes the non-difference thrust of «सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म» and supports the contemplative assimilation of «तत् त्वम् असि» by dissolving perceived ‘otherness’ (antara) at the level of ultimate reality.
