बुद्धिपूर्वं मया चैतन्न पापं समुपार्जितम् । पुरारिणैव हि पुराऽशासि धर्मो हि रक्ष्यताम्
buddhipūrvaṃ mayā caitanna pāpaṃ samupārjitam | purāriṇaiva hi purā'śāsi dharmo hi rakṣyatām
આ પાપ મેં જાણબૂઝીને કર્યું નથી. કારણ કે પૂર્વે સ્વયં પુરારી (શિવ)એ જ આદેશ આપ્યો હતો—‘ધર્મનું રક્ષણ થવું જોઈએ।’
