गृहाश्रमात्परं नास्ति यदि पत्नीवशंवदा । आनुकूल्यं हि दंपत्योस्त्रिवर्गोदय हेतवे

Transliteration

gṛhāśramātparaṃ nāsti yadi patnīvaśaṃvadā | ānukūlyaṃ hi daṃpatyostrivargodaya hetave

Translation

જો મનુષ્ય પત્નીના વશમાં ન હોય, તો ગૃહાશ્રમથી ઊંચું કંઈ નથી. કારણ કે દંપતિનું પરસ્પર અનુકૂળ્ય જ ધર્મ-અર્થ-કામ એવા ત્રિવર્ગના ઉદયનું કારણ છે.
