आमौलिं वाऽललाटंवाऽनासमूर्ध्वप्रमाणतः । ब्रह्मक्षत्रविशां दंडस्त्वगाढ्योनाग्निदूषितः

Transliteration

āmauliṃ vā'lalāṭaṃvā'nāsamūrdhvapramāṇataḥ | brahmakṣatraviśāṃ daṃḍastvagāḍhyonāgnidūṣitaḥ

Translation

દંડનું પ્રમાણ મૌળી સુધી, અથવા લલાટ સુધી, અથવા ઓછામાં ઓછું નાસિકા ઉપર સુધી હોવું જોઈએ। બ્રાહ્મણ-ક્ષત્રિય-વૈશ્યનો દંડ દૃઢ અને સ્થૂલ હોવો જોઈએ અને અગ્નિથી દૂષિત (ઝુલસેલો) ન હોવો જોઈએ।
