वसीरन्नानुपूर्व्येण शाण क्षौमाविकानि च । द्विजस्य मेखला मौंजी मौर्वी च भुजजन्मनः । भवेत्त्रिवृत्समाश्लक्ष्णा विशस्तु शणतांतवी
vasīrannānupūrvyeṇa śāṇa kṣaumāvikāni ca | dvijasya mekhalā mauṃjī maurvī ca bhujajanmanaḥ | bhavettrivṛtsamāślakṣṇā viśastu śaṇatāṃtavī
તે ક્રમે શાણ, ક્ષૌમ અને ઊની વસ્ત્ર ધારણ કરે. દ્વિજની મેખલા મુંજઘાસની; ભુજજન્મા (ક્ષત્રિય)ની મૌર્વીની. તે મસૃણ અને ત્રિવૃત હોવી જોઈએ; વૈશ્ય માટે શણતંતુની મેખલા વિહિત છે.
