अष्टांगार्घो यमुद्दिष्टस्त्वतीव रवितोषणः । गांगैर्वार्भिः कोटिगुणो ज्ञेयो विष्णोऽन्यवारितः
aṣṭāṃgārgho yamuddiṣṭastvatīva ravitoṣaṇaḥ | gāṃgairvārbhiḥ koṭiguṇo jñeyo viṣṇo'nyavāritaḥ
ઉપદેશિત આ અષ્ટાંગ અર્ઘ્ય સૂર્યને અત્યંત પ્રસન્ન કરે છે. ગંગાજળથી અર્પણ કરવાથી તેનું ફળ કોટિગણું થાય છે—એવું વિષ્ણુએ નિર્વિવાદ કહ્યું છે.
