स दत्त्वा दुष्कृतं तस्मै पुण्यमादाय गच्छति । अपि वा शाकदानेन यद्वा तोयप्रदानतः । पूजयेत्तं नरः भक्त्या तेनैवातो विमुच्यते
sa dattvā duṣkṛtaṃ tasmai puṇyamādāya gacchati | api vā śākadānena yadvā toyapradānataḥ | pūjayettaṃ naraḥ bhaktyā tenaivāto vimucyate
તે (અતિથિ) પોતાનું દુષ્કૃત ત્યાં મૂકી અને તેમનું પુણ્ય લઈને ચાલ્યો જાય છે. તેથી મનુષ્યે ભક્તિપૂર્વક અતિથિનું પૂજન કરવું જોઈએ—શાક-દાનથી હોય કે જળ-પ્રદાનથી પણ; એટલાથી જ આ દોષમાંથી મુક્તિ મળે છે.
