Transliteration

viprā vedavidaḥ śāṃtāḥ kṛtinaḥ śaṃsitavratāḥ | jñānayajñataponiṣṭhāḥ śivabhaktiparāyaṇāḥ

Translation

તેઓ બ્રાહ્મણો વેદવિદ્, મનથી શાંત, કૃતકર્મા અને વ્રતમાં પ્રસિદ્ધ હતા. જ્ઞાન, યજ્ઞ અને તપમાં નિષ્ઠાવાન તથા શિવભક્તિમાં સંપૂર્ણ પરાયણ હતા.
