शारदोवाच । त्वयोपदिष्टं यत्नेन चरिष्याम्यपि दुश्चरम् । तद्व्रतं ब्रूहि मे ब्रह्मन्विधानं वद विस्तरात्
śāradovāca | tvayopadiṣṭaṃ yatnena cariṣyāmyapi duścaram | tadvrataṃ brūhi me brahmanvidhānaṃ vada vistarāt
શારદ બોલ્યો: તમે જે ઉપદેશ આપ્યો છે તે હું પ્રયત્નપૂર્વક, ભલે તે દુષ્કર હોય તોય, આચરીશ। હે બ્રહ્મન, તે વ્રત મને કહો અને તેની વિધિ વિસ્તારે વર્ણવો।
