भूवायुकनकार्णोद्योःशब्दाद्याश्च तथा दश । आशान्वयेदशपुनः प्रवृत्ता इति कथ्यते

પૃથ્વી, વાયુ, અગ્નિ (કનક-તેજ), જળ અને જ્યોતિ/આકાશ; તેમજ શબ્દાદિ દસ—આ દસ કહેવાય છે। ફરી દિશાઓ (આશા)ના સંબંધથી બીજા દસ પ્રગટ થાય છે—એવું કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે।
