Praṇava-Māhātmya and the Twofold Mantra (Sūkṣma–Sthūla) in Śaiva Sādhanā
सद्योजातस्य तत्स्थानं पंचमावरणं परम् । वामदेवस्य च स्थानं चतुर्थावरणं पुनः
sadyojātasya tatsthānaṃ paṃcamāvaraṇaṃ param | vāmadevasya ca sthānaṃ caturthāvaraṇaṃ punaḥ
સદ્યોજાતનું સ્થાન તે પરમ પંચમ આવરણ છે. અને વામદેવનું સ્થાન ફરી ચતુર્થ આવરણ કહેવાય છે.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
It maps the inner “enclosures” (āvaraṇas) of contemplation to Shiva’s Panchabrahma aspects, indicating graded inwardness in worship where specific Shiva-forms preside over specific subtle levels.
In Linga-upāsanā, devotees meditate on Shiva’s manifest (saguṇa) aspects as gateways to the transcendent; the āvaraṇa scheme presents an ordered way to approach the Linga’s inner reality through Sadyojāta and Vāmadeva.
A meditative nyāsa-style contemplation: while worshipping the Linga, mentally place (dhyāna/nyāsa) Sadyojāta and Vāmadeva in their respective āvaraṇas, coordinating the practice with japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
