FAQs

This verse preserves the dharmic continuity of creation by naming Manu Raucya and his lineage, showing how cosmic order (dharma) is sustained across cycles—ultimately under the lordship of Pati (Shiva) who governs time, creation, and dissolution.

Though genealogical, it situates devotees within Shiva’s ordered cosmos: Manus uphold dharma in each age, and Linga-worship is a key Shaiva means for householders and rulers to align their lives with that dharma under Saguna Shiva’s grace.

A practical takeaway is svādhyāya (reverent recitation) of Purana lineages with devotion to Shiva, paired with daily Panchakshara japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") to internalize dharma and seek Shiva’s guidance through life’s duties.
