Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Sthala Purana: The verse highlights pārthiva-liṅga-vidhi (earthen liṅga worship) as an accessible rite; in Purāṇic practice this is often linked with rapid attainment of Śiva’s grace through sincere, correctly performed pūjā.
Significance: Affirms that even a temporary, self-made liṅga can become a locus of Śiva’s presence when worship is done per vidhi and with bhakti.
Type: stotra
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It highlights that sincere, properly performed worship of Śiva—especially through a simple, accessible Pārthiva (earthen) Liṅga—can make devotion immediate and living, drawing the devotee into direct relationship with Pati (Śiva), the liberating Lord.
The verse emphasizes pratyakṣa (direct, manifest) worship through the Liṅga as Saguna upāsanā—Śiva approached with form for devotion—while pointing to the Shaiva Siddhānta understanding that the Liṅga is a sacred support for realizing Śiva beyond form as well.
It suggests Pārthiva Liṅga pūjā done according to vidhi: shaping an earthen Liṅga, performing abhiṣeka and offerings with mantra (commonly with “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and maintaining focused bhakti as the core inner practice.
