यत्पूर्व्यं मरुतो यच्च नूतनं यदुद्यते वसवो यच्च शस्यते । विश्वस्य तस्य भवथा नवेदसः शुभं यातामनु रथा अवृत्सत ॥

yátpū́rvyaṃ maruto yác ca nū́tanaṃ yád udyáte vasavo yác ca śasyáte | víśvasya tásya bhavathā náv̄edasaḥ śúbhaṃ yātám ánu ráthā avṛtsata ||

હે મરુતો! તમામાં જે પ્રાચીન છે અને જે નવજાત છે; હે વસુઓ! જે ઉદ્ભવે છે નવી ઉછાળ તરીકે, અને જેનું સ્તુતિગાન થાય છે—આ સર્વના તમે સદા નવેસરથી જાણનારા (નવેદસ) છો. તમારાં રથો શુભ માર્ગને અનુસરી અમારી તરફ વળી આવે.
