Sukta 4.24
य इन्द्राय सुनवत्सोममद्य पचात्पक्तीरुत भृज्जाति धानाः । प्रति मनायोरुचथानि हर्यन्तस्मिन्दधद्वृषणं शुष्ममिन्द्रः ॥
yá indrā́ya sunávát sómam adyá pácāt paktī́r utá bhṛjjā́ti dhānā́ḥ | práti manāyór ucáthāni háryan tásmin dadhád vṛ́ṣaṇaṃ śúṣmam índraḥ ||
જે કોઈ આજે ઇન્દ્ર માટે સોમ પીડે છે, અને પક્તિ પક્વ અન્ન-ફળો રાંધે છે તથા ધાન્યોને ભુને છે—તેના મનના બે ઉત્સાહો તરફ, સ્તુતિગીતોના પ્રતિઉત્તરમાં, ઇન્દ્ર દોડી આવે છે; અને તેમાં વૃષભસમાન બળ, વિજયી શૌર્ય સ્થાપે છે.
