प्रदक्षिणिदभि गृणन्ति कारवो वयो वदन्त ऋतुथा शकुन्तयः । उभे वाचौ वदति सामगा इव गायत्रं च त्रैष्टुभं चानु राजति ॥

Transliteration

pradakṣiṇíd abhi gṛṇanti kārávo váyo vádanta ṛtuthā́ śakúntayaḥ | ubhé vā́cau vadati sāmagā́ iva gāyatráṃ ca traíṣṭubhaṃ cā́nu rājati ||

Translation

શુભ દક્ષિણાવર્ત માર્ગે ચાલતા કવિઓ સ્તુતિ ગાય છે; ઋતુ અનુસાર, ઋત (સત્ય-વ્યવસ્થા) મુજબ બોલતા પક્ષીઓ પોતાના સંકેતો ઉચ્ચારે છે. તે સામગાન કરનારની જેમ બન્ને વાણીઓથી બોલે છે; ગાયત્રી અને ત્રૈષ્ટુભ—બન્ને છંદોને અનુસરી તેજસ્વી થાય છે.
