Sukta 1.85
वि ये भ्राजन्ते सुमखास ऋष्टिभिः प्रच्यावयन्तो अच्युता चिदोजसा । मनोजुवो यन्मरुतो रथेष्वा वृषव्रातासः पृषतीरयुग्ध्वम् ॥
ví yé bhrā́jante súmakhāsa ṛṣṭíbhīḥ prá cyāváyanto acyútā cid ójasā | manójavo yán maruto rathéṣv ā́ vṛ́ṣavrātāsaḥ pṛ́ṣatīr áyugdhvam ||
જે તેજથી ઝળહળે છે તે સુમુખા (મરુતગણ) પોતાના ઋષ્ટિ (ભાલા) વડે પ્રભાસે છે; પોતાના બળથી અચલને પણ કંપાવે છે. હે મરુતો, જ્યારે મનોજવ (મન જેટલા ઝડપી) બની તમે રથોમાં પૃષતી (ચિતરાં) અશ્વોને જોડ્યા, ત્યારે અદમ્ય ઇચ્છાવાળા વૃષવ્રાત (વૃષભ-સમાન ગણ) રૂપે તમે આવ્યા.
