Sukta 1.62
प्र वो महे महि नमो भरध्वमाङ्गूष्यं शवसानाय साम । येना नः पूर्वे पितरः पदज्ञा अर्चन्तो अङ्गिरसो गा अविन्दन् ॥
prá vo mahe máhi námo bharadhvam āṅgū́ṣyaṃ śavasānā́ya sā́ma | yénā naḥ pū́rve pitáraḥ pada-jñā́ arcánto aṅgíraso gā́ avindan ||
મહાનને—મહિમાવંતને—તમારું મહાન નમસ્કાર અર્પો; બળવાન માટે પ્રેરિત સામ-ગાન પ્રસ્તુત કરો. જેના દ્વારા માર્ગને જાણનારા પ્રાચીન પિતૃઓ—સ્તુતિ કરતા અંગિરસો—ગાયો (ગૌઃ, પ્રકાશ-કિરણો) શોધી કાઢ્યા; ઋતના પથ પર અમારી યાત્રા માટે ગુપ્તમાંથી જ્ઞાનના કિરણો પ્રગટ કર્યા.
