Sukta 1.51
त्वं मायाभिरप मायिनोऽधमः स्वधाभिर्ये अधि शुप्तावजुह्वत । त्वं पिप्रोर्नृमणः प्रारुजः पुरः प्र ऋजिश्वानं दस्युहत्येष्वाविथ ॥
tvaṃ māyābhir apa māyino ’dhamaḥ svadhābhir ye adhi śuptāv ajuhvata | tvaṃ pipror nṛmaṇaḥ prārujaḥ puraḥ pra ṛjiśvānaṃ dasyu-hatyeṣv āvitha ||
હે ઇન્દ્ર, તું તારી માયાઓ દ્વારા માયાવી ઠગોને—અધમોને—પછાડી દે છે; જે સ્વધાઓ (સ્વઇચ્છા-શક્તિઓ) વડે ‘શુપ્તા’ (નિદ્રા) પર આહ્વાન કરે છે. હે નૃમણઃ (પુરુષબળ), તું પિપ્રુના દૃઢ પુરો (કિલ્લાઓ) ફોડી નાખ્યા; અને દસ્યુહત્યામાં તું ઋજિશ્વાનને સહાય કર્યો—અંધકારમાં માર્ગ કાપી આપ્યો.
