Sukta 1.4

अस्य पीत्वा शतक्रतो घनो वृत्राणामभवः । प्रावो वाजेषु वाजिनम् ॥

ásya pītvā śatakrato ghanó vṛtrā́ṇām abhavaḥ | prā́vo vā́jeṣu vā́jinam ||

આ (સોમ-આનંદ) પીધા પછી, હે શતક્રતુ, તું અવરોધકોનો ઘાતક બન્યો; અને વાજના ક્ષેત્રોમાં—તે વિજયી શક્તિ-તીવ્રતાઓમાં—તું વાજિનને, સમૃદ્ધિધારકને, આગળ ધપાવ્યો.
