पञ्चषष्टितमः सर्गः — वानराणां प्लवन-पराक्रम-निरूपणम्

न ह्यकृत्वा हरिपतेस्सन्देशं तस्य धीमतः।तत्रापि गत्वा प्राणानां पश्यामि परिरक्षणम्।।।।

na hy akṛtvā haripateḥ sandeśaṃ tasya dhīmataḥ |

tatrāpi gatvā prāṇānāṃ paśyāmi parirakṣaṇam ||

કારણ કે તે ધીમાન વાનરાધિપતિના સંદેશને સિદ્ધ કર્યા વિના, ત્યાં (કિષ્કિન્ધામાં) પાછા જઈએ તોય પ્રાણોની રક્ષા થતી હું નથી જોતો.
