The verse presents a ceremonial or sacred assembly where major Vedic-Purāṇic deities and sages are simultaneously present, signaling the completeness and sanctity of the event and portraying harmony among divine powers.
It names both Hari/Nārāyaṇa (Viṣṇu) and Mahādeva (Śiva) together without hierarchy, a common Purāṇic way to depict shared divine participation rather than exclusive sectarian supremacy in this specific line.
By depicting sages and multiple deities gathered in one place, the verse implies reverence for sacred assemblies and encourages a broad, respectful devotion that honors the divine in its many acknowledged forms.
