Mars/Lohitāṅga
vyāsa uvāca | hiraṇyākṣakule dhīmānasurāṇāṃ ca pārthivaḥ | aṃdhaketi samākhyāto daityaḥ sarvasurāṃtakṛt
Vyāsa

Secondary Rasa: vira

The verse identifies Andhaka as a Daitya born in the lineage of Hiraṇyākṣa, famed as a powerful enemy of the Devas.
It situates Andhaka within a known Asura genealogy, a common Purāṇic technique for linking characters to earlier cosmic conflicts and establishing their inherited power and enmity toward the gods.
It frames unchecked power and hostility toward dharma as destructive, setting up a moral contrast where divine order is ultimately restored against forces that threaten the cosmic balance.
