FAQs

Pṛthu is presented as an ideal, heroic ruler (a dhārmic king) whose appearance benefits the world; his birth is treated as auspicious for all beings.

The verse highlights the cosmic and social auspiciousness of a righteous leader’s birth—when a great-souled king arises, creation itself feels relief and joy.

“Dvijottama” means “best of the twice-born,” a respectful address to a learned brahmin listener in the dialogue, marking the verse as part of a narrated teaching.
