सोमशर्मोवाच । पूर्वजन्मकृतं पापं त्वयाख्यातं च मे मुने । शूद्रत्वेन तु विप्रेन्द्र मयैव परिवर्जितम्
somaśarmovāca | pūrvajanmakṛtaṃ pāpaṃ tvayākhyātaṃ ca me mune | śūdratvena tu viprendra mayaiva parivarjitam
સોમશર્માએ કહ્યું—હે મુને, પૂર્વજન્મમાં કરેલું પાપ તમે મને જણાવ્યું; પરંતુ હે વિપ્રેન્દ્ર, મેં જાતે જ શૂદ્રત્વની સ્થિતિનો ત્યાગ કર્યો છે।
