विप्रो गेहं विशन्दृष्टः किमिदं स्वप्नकारणम् । शौनक उवाच । वरो दत्तस्तु ते पूर्वं दत्तात्रेयेण धीमता

vipro gehaṃ viśandṛṣṭaḥ kimidaṃ svapnakāraṇam | śaunaka uvāca | varo dattastu te pūrvaṃ dattātreyeṇa dhīmatā

બ્રાહ્મણનું ઘર આમ વિચિત્ર રૂપે જોઈ તે આશ્ચર્યચકિત થયો—“આ સ્વપ્નસમાન દૃશ્યનું કારણ શું?” શૌનકે કહ્યું—“પૂર્વે ધીમાન દત્તાત્રેયે તને એક વરદાન આપ્યું હતું.”
