Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It highlights niścaya (firm resolve) and tapas (austerity) as transformative spiritual disciplines, especially when undertaken with a clear purpose and devotion.
By stating the austerity was done “for my sake” (madartham), the verse frames tapas as bhakti-oriented—discipline offered to the beloved/desired divine goal rather than mere self-mortification.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this line; the practical takeaway is vrata-style discipline—making a vow (niścaya) and sustaining regulated tapas at a sacred place (tīrtha/kshetra).
