*ऋषय ऊचुः पादपानां विधिं सूत यथावद्विस्तराद्वद विधिना केन कर्तव्यं पादपोद्यापनं बुधैः //
*ṛṣaya ūcuḥ pādapānāṃ vidhiṃ sūta yathāvadvistarādvada vidhinā kena kartavyaṃ pādapodyāpanaṃ budhaiḥ //
ઋષિઓએ કહ્યું—હે સૂત, વૃક્ષોના વિધાનને યોગ્ય ક્રમમાં વિસ્તારે કહો. બુદ્ધિમાનો વૃક્ષ-ઉદ્યાપન (સ્થાપન/પ્રતિષ્ઠા) કઈ વિધિથી કરવું?
