कालदण्डाद्यमो दण्डं पाशं चाम्बुपतिर्ददौ ।

प्रजापतिश्चाक्षमालां ददौ ब्रह्मा कमण्डलुम् ॥

kāla-daṇḍād yamo daṇḍaṃ pāśaṃ cāmbu-patir dadau |

prajāpatiś cākṣa-mālāṃ dadau brahmā kamaṇḍalum ||

યમે પોતાના મૃત્યુદંડમાંથી દંડ કાઢી તેને આપ્યો; જળોના સ્વામી વરુણે પાશ આપ્યો. પ્રજાપતિએ જપમાળા આપી અને બ્રહ્માએ કમંડલુ અર્પણ કર્યું.
